Mrs Michelle Muscat addresses the Fourth National Colloquium on Research in Rare Disease – 26 February 2017

Project Description

The National Alliance for Rare Diseases Support – Malta participated in the Fourth National Colloquium on Research in Rare Disease, which was held at the Central Auditorium, Block C, Level 3, Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, 26 February 2018. The Colloquium provides the opportunity to showcase ongoing research about rare diseases that is conducted at the University of Malta for the benefit of patients and their families.

This event was organized by the Malta Biobank (BBMRI.mt), Centre of Molecular Medicine and BioBanking and the Research, Innovation and Development Trust (RIDT) of the University of Malta under the patronage of Mrs Michelle Muscat, President of the National Alliance for Rare Diseases Support – Malta and Professor Godfrey LaFerla, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.

During the event, Mrs Muscat remarked about the importance of the Rare Disease Patient Registry and how family doctors can help their patients by referring them to The National Alliance for Rare Diseases Support – Malta for support.
