Ms Joanna Vella has been awarded the JRC Malta Young Scientist Award 2017 in the Rare Diseases field. Congratulations!!!

Project Description

The National Alliance for Rare Diseases Support – Malta would like to congratulate Ms Joanna Vella, who won the Joint Research Centre (JRC) Malta Young Scientist Award in the rare diseases field.

Ms Joanna Vella is a volunteer of The National Alliance for Rare Diseases Support – Malta, RD-Connect partner at the University of Malta, and works at the Malta BioBank / BBMRI.mt, Centre of Molecular Medicine and Biobanking and the National Node in BBMRI-ERIC.

As an awardee, Ms Joanna Vella was invited to present her ongoing PhD research, Genomics in Rare Diseases, including the work at RD-Connect, to the JRC DG Vladimir Sucha and the JRC Board of Governors on the 16 June 2017 at the Joint Research Centre in Ispra.
