Commemorative Mass – 20 September 2019

Project Description

The National Alliance for Rare Diseases Support – Malta organized a Commemorative Mass on the 4th Anniversary of the passing of Mrs. Emmanuela (Lelina) Tanti, mother of the President and Founder of The National Alliance for Rare Diseases Support – Malta. The mass was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Martin Coleiro on Friday, 20 September 2019 at Ta’ Giezu Oratory in Rabat in her memory and in memory of all our dearest, faithfully departed members. The National Alliance for Rare Diseases Support – Malta was honoured to have the Prime Minister, Dr Joseph Muscat amongst the congregation.

Members, relatives, and friends attended the ceremony and later joined a get-together dinner organised by the Alliance at the nearby Peristyle Restaurant. Mr. Chris Schembri, Head Master of San Andrea School attended the event together with student, Daniel Spiteri, who kindly donated copies of his book ‘The Fallen Angels’ for sale in aid of the Alliance. Thank you to all the attendees for buying the entire lot of books in one evening.

The evening ended with a raffle of paintings kindly donated to The National Alliance for Rare Diseases Support – Malta by the UNESCO Associated Schools Art Camp, thanks to H.E. Mons. Joe Vella Gauci, Ambassador & Permanent Delegate of Malta to UNESCO.

The National Alliance for Rare Diseases Support – Malta would like to thank all those who attended and showed their gratitude towards the work of the Alliance.
